Aaron, Anna and Lucy were first to arrive, so we played and prepared for Grantudy and Gramps to pull in. Once the family was all together, we chowed down on chicken taco chili and sat back to watch the tots entertain us! They are finally at an age at which they play a little bit together, a little bit side-by-side, and a little bit making us laugh out loud!
Saturday morning we braved the cold and visited our favorite Frying Pan Park. The funny name does nothing to describe the awesomeness. It is a working farm that just had a slew of spring-time baby animals.
Oh, and it has tractors. LOTS of tractors. And a carousel and a playground. Disney World has nothing on this park! hahah!
After nap, we introduced the family to our newly discovered fro-yo shop. Chase was ecstatic over "YO gut" and Lucy found her stride with the Chocolate indulgence!
Since the weather was a bit rainy, we spent a lot of time playing around the house... cooking in Chase's kitchen, and listening and dancing to music.
Grantudy taught the tots twinkle-twinkle-little-star how to play ring-around-the-rosie, and we all got dizzy doing it 3,492 times. You just can't help it when you see that toothy grin and hear their tiny voice say, "again!"
We wrapped up the visit on Sunday with a trip to dinosaur park. As much as Chase has unbridled determination and energy in everything he does, when his cousin Lucy is around, he melts to butter and does EVERYTHING she does. He followed her around his park like a puppy, mimicking her every move. It was adorable.
