Queue celebratory music!!! Another IYB baby celebration. And another boy. And another "C" name. Love it.
Katy and Russ welcomed baby Carter Russel Talone a month ago and we finally got a chance to meet him! I loved putting together Carter's present... and I couldn't help trying to make something. I have been so inspired by Etsy lately that I figured I could try to replicate some stuff. I tried to make a "C" shirt for Carter (and couldn't forget one for Chase too!).
Saturday we did a day trip up to Philly to meet up with 5 other IYBs (missed you Katie) and have a huge IYB 2.0 play date.
OMG... Carter is so cute he makes me want to cry. And at a month old he is still a tiny guy (still smaller than Chase was when he was born! yikes!). He is an adorable spitting image of his Daddy... which means Katy is in for it when he gets a little bigger! She is never going to win in this household. We were all wrapped around this little guy's finger....
Especially Kevin who might have hogged Mr. Carter a bit! (PS, I just adored watching him love on this new little addition).
It has been so long since we were all together and it was hilarious to see how times have changed. We snuck a few beers while the littles played and laughed at the dad's trying to play video games with babes strapped to the chests! Love it!
Carter absolutely stole the show (while Chase stole toys from the other babies, sigh.). I got to love on Carter while Nina and Esther Chased little dude all over the house. They were exhausted and I got some rest with the tiny guy... loved it!
It was over all too fast and we headed home. I was so proud of my little guy. I watched (and helped) Katy and Laura hush their littles' cries while my guy just played and giggled. I loved hearing those baby cries.
It make me so proud to see how far we have come. Not a tear from our guy after so many long days and months of bleary-eyed sobs. My girls will get through it fine, just like we did. Love those ladies with all my heart.
Sunday was hot! So we bolted out of the house and straight over to Ryan and Aleis' house for some much needed pool time.
We ate lunch pool side while the boys tossed cheerios all over the place. They were ready for the water and made it known. The daddies jumped in the pool with our boys and all was right with the world.
Let's just say Logan and Chase enjoy their swimming in much different ways. Logan relaxes, clinging to Ryan like a koala bear floating along.
Chase, splashing like a wild animal slapping the water and spraying Kevin in the face. The only thing you can hear over the sound of splashing water is the giggles from Chase-man... and Kevin. I had to stay out because of my foot, but I can't wait to get in and splash like crazy with our Loquito :)
We walked home with sleeping babies. Mission accomplished. Memories made.
What a fun weekend, and what a difference a year makes. 4 baby boys later and life is good for all of us.
