This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

10 months

Happy Birthday little man!  You are growing up way too fast.  And speaking of fast, I think it is the theme for this month. You are quite the speedy crawler.  And boy are you loud.  Talking and yelling... you grab everyone's attention.  You seem to do everything "big."   You talk big, you eat big, you move big, you sleep big.  Everything is big (except your weight! Mr. 5th %).  You are developing like crazy and have perfected crawling and can speed along seemingly gliding across the floor.  You haven't sit still in months, but now your energy is boundless (and dangerous... the wagon incident?!).

You have started saying distinct words though sometimes we aren't sure if you know what they mean.
Some of your words:
  • Uh Oh!
  • Mommy
  • Dada
  • Nana
  • Bobby... not sure who he is, but you love calling for him.  We think it might be "mommy" but ??
Your smile is infectious and flirtatious.  You love meeting new people and know how to ham it up with you get their attention.  And where did you get your crazy curly hair?  We joke that we can read the weather forecast by how curly it it!  We love it and it fits your W-I-L-D personality perfectly.

You are just learning how to stand on your own, but will only do it for a few seconds because you are always moving too much to catch your balance.  Daddy has helped you perfect your stair climbing and you can scale the steps in just a minute!  We will be regretting this lesson; I am sure of it!

I am starting to plan your birthday with a little resistance since I don't want you to grow up any faster!  These days are so fun watching you discover new things and try new foods.  You love splashing in the bath, river and pool.  Your favorite food is still Cheerios with no hesitation.  You are in love with your "O's".  And your favorite toys are your stacking cups which you love to bang together and a little whale bath toy.  You also like mommy's shoes which is really gross the TV remote and a beach shovel.  At school you love your drum and drag it everywhere with you.  Nana says it is your lovey.

At the moment you have abandoned your good sleep habits and are waking up every hour it seems.  We are not sure what is going on, but it isn't fun.  Maybe you are teething, but I am not sure.  But, even when you are screaming to nurse with Momma, you are adorable as ever and we are totally in love with everything you do!
