This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Fall and Farm fun

This is my season.  I love every single thing about the fall.  We discovered Butler's Orchard with the Smiths last year and a tradition was born.  This year we were back with the Smith and the Zienteks joined us as well. We had been looking forward to this weekend for almost a month.  I could not wait to send my kids down the slides, wade through the hay barn, search through the corn maze, and pick the perfect pumpkins.

And the kids did not disappoint in the memory making category.  Again this year, Chase loved the hay barn. But what we loved was watching him encourage his timid sister.  Chase was so gentle with her, encouraging her feel the hay and crawl around. "It's ok Whit Whit, here, you sit by me."

The kids loved the slides and really started to catch some speed.

But the big even was riding the tractor out to get our pumpkins.  All the boys loved watching the tractor pull the wagons through the fields, up the hill, and out to the pumpkin patch.

Chase took pumpkin picking as serious business.  He also wanted about 30 pumpkins, we we had to pair that down a bit.  Whitney was content to watch the action from my hip, but got back in the game once we were back in the wagon.

Once back to the action, we did some more hay barn jumping and face painting.  On our way out we loaded up on apple pie and apple cider.  It was the perfect fall day.
