Filed under: Frustrations of raising toddlers.....
We are still potty training. Chase has been struggling with potty training. And, since this blog is ours to share the good and the bad, I figure we will look back on posts like this and laugh? I hope? We are getting good support through his medical issues and hope that the potty training will soon be a distant memory...
But in the mean time, we will try again, including the ultimate visual motivation. I found a "Like-neen Mcqueen" shirt and taped it to the wall, explaining that only after 5 perfect days in a row, would he get to wear it. Fingers are crossed
Grantudy and Granps just got back from a trip to France, so of course Whitney had to have a beret!
Our big girl is now joining her patient brother in the bath tub! She seemed to really love being in the bath with her brother. No Fear. And Chase really loved having her with him.
By the end of the week, Success! Chase was rewarded for his hard work with getting to wear his new shirt. Smile a mile wide! Two thumbs up!
We are trying to challenge Chase with eating more well rounded meal. Which parent of a toddler isn't? Right? Tonight, he absolutely refused to eat peas, but after spilling them on the floor (by accident), I told him to clean them up. So what did he do? Put each one on a spoon and ate them. So, he wouldn't eat them at the table, but off the floor with a spoon? No problem. File this under: Of course, because he's a toddler.
Our gillie is getting so big! Sitting up so well and moving into some of her cousin's hand-me-downs. I remember Lucy wearing these overalls and it was so fun to see miss Whit in them too. Her Auntie was tickled to see these favorite overalls getting another wear! Cutie!
And just a few more of our love bugs. We are still amazed and thrilled of how loving Chase is with his sister. He always wants to be around her, help her, and love on her. We are blown away by his selflessness... for a 3 year old.
