Whitney was born with a head of long hair. My palms get sweaty thinking about having to "do" little girl hair. I am just not good at it and scared I will pull her hair and make her cry. I have vision of my childhood crying that I didn't want to brush my hair.
The ladies at Nana's did the little nugget's hair. It was so cute and I think she loved it! Or just loved not having hair in her face while she learned to crawl!
Almost as fun as her new hair do was the after effect. Getting ready for bath, I pulled out her hair tie, and her hair stayed up in a little sprout updo! LOL
With my love of fall, we continue to find anything and everything to celebrate the season. Therefore, Chase did a lot of pumpkin painting.
We also hit up a fall festival. I am not sure if he loved the bounce house or fire truck more.
The boys made beer this weekend and of course Chase had to help. Whitney and I worked on her big girl cup. It is funny to see what things each kid did first. I don't remember Chase working on a sippy cup at 7 months, but Whitney is all about it.
So here's a strange story. Chase crawled into our room on Tuesday morning saying he couldn't walk. We thought he was just playing around. But after trying to stand him up and make him walk (lured with a video and snack) he still wouldn't put weight on his leg and even fell twice. After agreeing that he asking joking around, we decided he had to go to the ER to see what was going on.
The doctor asked him how he hurt his leg. Without hesitation he said, "I was at the museum and a dinosaur stepped on my foot." All joking aside, I thought that would lead to a call to CPS! Yikes. Luckily, the doctor wasn't surprised by the response! LOL.
Chase was very brave and stood still during the X-RAY. It was a long wait for the results, but Dora on the TV made the time fly... in Chase's opinion. The doctor finally returned to tell us nothing was broken, PHEW. But that he did have a tumor at the top of his femur. It was non-cancerous and nothing to worry about, just bone growth. But worth a follow-up.
Luckily things were quiet the rest of the week Just having some fun around the house.
The week ended with a birthday party, some Nana love, and yet around fall festival and our first trick-or-treating event! Life is good!
