This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming

We kicked off a fun filled weekend with the highly anticipated "swim lessons" for Chase. The quite are necessary because we think it is so funny that he is having lessons, like he is actually learning to swim.  Let's be honest, we are just those parents that get sucked into all the fun baby activities and are proud of it!  We think it will hopefully help him not to fear the water, especially on visits to Kenthaven.

I ran home and picked up Aunt Megan who made sure she arrived in town to see nugget's swim lessons.  We all met at Nana's house to pick up little man and headed off to Claude Moore Recreation center.  Chase was memorized by all the sights and sounds of the pool.  We were so excited to see how he would take to the water!

BTW- Can we please talk about how Chase is the skinniest little nugget with the biggest pot belly anyone has ever seen?  He is all belly!

Kevin jumped in the pool with Chase while Megan and I played paparazzi.  The group sang songs and participated in activities to get the babies used to the water.  Imagine all the mommies gently sprinking water in the babies' hands and pouring water on the back of their heads to get them used to the water.  Kevin?  Baptism by fire water.  Kevin dumped water all over a surprised gasping Chase while say "he's fine". I composed myself after almost jumping into the pool and spent the rest of the lesson "quietly" yelling "gentle" and "be careful" to Kevin between camera snaps.

Chase really enjoyed himself and like the strong willed, independent little bugger he is, even tried to swim away from daddy!

Part of the lesson included dumping a bucket of water over baby's head.  I was quite nervous about this event and pleaded with Kevin to be gentle.  Daddy's version of "gentle" wasn't quite what I had intended, but Chase handled it well.

Luckily Chase and I survive.  Kevin bounded out of the pool saying "that was fun!" I grabbed my little wet fish and promised I would never let him go.  But all in all, Kevin did an amazing good job ;-) hehe.

4 more lessons... guess who's jumping in the pool next week....?
