This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Load of Laundry... and love
Visitors have continued to stop by. Lindsey, Matt, Mary Kate and Jeff came by for a visit. We laughed and passed the baby. We took time to really appreciate how amazing this all is. They were so generous and showered Chase with an adorable wardrobe of clothes fit for a spunky and crazy kid we know he is going to be!
And with all our wonderful gifts comes... laundry. Loads of it (pun intended). the washer has been going non stop and has also made good use of a white noise machine to lull our little nugget into a slumber. It is so funny because I stare at him while he sleeps begging him to wake up so I can do something with him. Feed him, bathe him, change him, hold him.... I don't care, I will do anything with him. I just can't stand to let him be. I am also positive I will regret these words and wishes in a few weeks! hahaha! Then I will be begging for a nap, but for now, I will just stare at him, waiting for him to wake up and play :)
Chase is doing great a tummy time and rarely complains!
I love this picture below. Chase has taken to our love of football and is practicing tucking his football while running for the touchdown!
Aunt Jennie made Chase a beautiful and very special baby blanket in the colors of his nursery. We especially like tummy time when it is on this blanket!
I call the picture below, air guitar (or just a yawn). haha
So in my down time, I decided to start a DIY project. Yep, our little nugget is 2 weeks old and I figure it is about time to start some sort of house project. Time to paint the ugly powder room? I have been itching to try some vertical stripes so we decided on light and dark tan stripes. While our little guy napped this week, I took to the brush and blue tape. Oh the happiness. A healthy and happy baby and a paint brush in my hand. Sheer joy.
Oh and did I pick the right project. Chase has been a bit fussier these last few days of Project Stripes and so he has taken nicely to the new powder room which Grandtudy called his "club house." It all comes down to the super loud fan.... the prefect white noise maker! I think he will be a great assistant for future DIY projects!
We check in with the doctor for his two week appointment. It was a quick trip though they want us to get an ultrasound on his sacral dimple. I an not worried, but we will get it checked out.
