This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

COLIC a.k.a. cry-ic

These are the five most evil letters a new parent can hear.  Colic.  He was not invited to this party but showed but and barged in anyway.  Kevin went back to work today, oh and we figured our that the last few days of unusual "fussiness" is most likely colic.  I am hesitant to label it or admit he has it, but he screams and cries all day long with a crescendo from around 5-9pm.  I can't take it.  I love this little boy more than my life, but he is just so unhappy all the time.  I am exhausted.  I think we both cried for hours straight together.  I haven't slept in 36 hours because he WILL NOT SLEEP!

So Kevin went off to work today and I tried to take Chase for a walk to tire him out and lull him to sleep.  Instead I think his cry got every neighborhood dog barking all at once.  After a failed car ride to get him to sleep.  I think my eyes started bleeding and I was on my last nerve.  I called Kevin at 1:00pm.  "Come home now."  I think that was all I said. Kevin got home around 2:00pm and Chase and I both cried in his arms.  This is so hard.

On a positive note.  Once Kevin took over tending to our very unhappy little guy, I finally got around to hanging Chase name above his crib.  I painted the letters a few days ago and was able to hang them up tonight.

We are going to the doctor tomorrow.  I need to make sure nothing is physically wrong with him.  I just got off the phone with mom and after a good cry and lots of googling, I think our little nugget off goodness has colic.

If only there was a drinking game for how many times "cry" appeared in this post.  Actually I just wish I could have a drink.

UGH.  PS. I still love you peanut burger, but please stop crying, I promise you this family isn't that bad.  I hope.
