My two boys are quite the pair. As soon as Daddy arrive, they both suggested a golf cart ride at the same time. Clad in their matching (and unplanned) Penn State gear, they were both blissfully happy to just be headed anywhere on the golf cart.
It was a bit too cold to get into the water. Heck, it was so unseasonable cool that we didn't even hit the beach for the day in swim gear. Instead, we bundled up and played on the jungle gym and went out on Big Pier.
The majority of the weekend was spent passing kids around and just enjoying a relaxing weekend. As someone who always has to have a million activities going on at once, I am slowly becoming more comfortable with just "being." Being in the moment, being still, being engaged with the kids.... just "being." Of course, one of my favorite ways of "being" is just "being happy" to sit and delight in my kids and my parents loving on one another.
A couple of my favorite moments. Soaking up the sights of my family enjoying the beach. Chase and Gramps in their matching beetle car shirts. Chase picking Whitney some mint from the garden and teaching her to smell it just as Grantudy had taught him moments before. Boy does he love his little sis. Makes my heart melt!
We rounded out the weekend at home. Whitney has started peeking up from tummy time, and Chase has become even more wild, bold, and free... with jumping head first into just about any activitiy.
