First bath

This is one of my favorite moments in our newborn's life.   Their first bath.  Whitney is still very curled up, but melted into the nice warmed towels. 

Her eyes opened as she felt the warm water.  Though she can't see far, she tracked our movement as we washed and studied ever wrinkle of her new little warm body.

I love that we have this same exact photo of her brother getting his first bath on our kitchen counter.  It is nice to have this moment again, while they are still so tiny.

And the best thing about a baby bath is the way they smell afterwards.  That baby smell is infectious.  They should really bottle that stuff... or make a scented candle!

And of course, after the bath, comes a nice warm hat and a good snuggle.
