Just some normal summer time fun. We have gotten some really good corn on the cob and our little non-veggie eater has become quite enthusiastic about corn on the cob... which he affectionately calls "pop corns." He works his way around the cob leaving little beaver teeth marks randomly on the cob.
Another summertime memory that we have been making is puddle jumping. Chase doesn't seem phased by rain, I think he thinks his rain boots give him special powers. When I bought Chase rain boots, Kevin questioned their need and practicality. I can say for sure that Chase has gotten his wear out of them already. They are his footwear of choice and perfect for puddle jumping!
This is definitely a memory that will be made over and over again. We always worry so much about kids behaving, and staying clean. We tell them over and over, "no don't touch that, you made a mess, not on your shirt!" But, I was reminded recently by a sad story that we need to embrace our kids, savor the messes, and let kids jump in muddy puddles! So this won't be the last time we splash away!
