This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

July 4th

We had a great July 4th weekend.  It is always one of my favorite holidays.  Since the 4th was a Wednesday, we stayed in town which made for a great day to watch a Nat's game.  Our friends invited us along with them, and although they were happy to for little man to come too, Kev and I took it as an opportunity for a babysitter and some adult time!  We knew there was no way Chase would handle a small space for a long time.

The game was hot, but the beers and company was perfect!  The Nat's won and it was so good to catch up with friends and take a break from our pint size for a while.

Thursday night we headed down for a long weekend at Kent Haven.  There was a tremendous amount damage, especially downed trees.  Kev and Aaron tried to start chopping some of the branches, but it was quite futile.  Lucky for everyone, the community had hired a tree service which came by before K&A had exhausted themselves.  I think the big winner of the day was Chase though.  He was captivated by the tree trimmer and wood chipper.  We spent most of the morning on the front steps watching the men work the equipment.

As much time as we spent at the beach we spent riding the golf cart.  It is probably a family favorite activity.  As Chase blabs away at everything he sees in detail, Lucy waves like the mayor of the town.  It is too cute and so much fun! These two get along so well!

As hot as it was, it was nice just to take a dip in our backyard pool.  It is much easier and still pleases the babies and the Grantudy who braved the VERY cold well water!

We did get plenty of time down on the river and perfected our floating and relaxing skills!

We ended the weekend with some 4th of July fun with a Bar-B-Q and patriotic themed outfits of course!
