This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Easter

We didn't have much planned for Easter this year, so when friends suggested we hit up a local Easter Egg hunt followed by a play date and dying eggs, we were sold.

Melissa, Scott, and Alex arrived energized and ready to go after naptime on Saturday and we hit the egg fields.  The church right across the street from our house was hosting it and it was so nice to have an easy going activity.

The boys loving picking up the bright colored eggs, even if Chase did refer to every single one as a "ball."  We chased the crazy boys all over the field like paparazzi stalking the latest star!

After some good egg hunting we headed inside to meet the Easter Bunny.  We haven't taken Chase to meet the Easter Bunny since we are pretty sure we would waste money on a photo of a terrified child- but since this bunny was free- we were sold.  Our suspicions were correct.

After a terrifying trip to see the bunny, we headed back to our house to dye some eggs.  I discovered "spill-proof" egg dying cups.  They lied.  So we mostly played keep away from Chase and the bright colored dye-your-hands-purple-for-a-week egg dye.  Alex cared less about the eggs and made himself at home among all Chase's toys.

We went for the tri-fecta of fun and made a delicious lemon piccata (and Chicken nuggets for the lesser refine palette).  It turned out to be such a fun day and we high-fived as parents who could pull it all off.  There will definitely be more play date with Alex and his parents!

Easter morning flew by.  We grabbed our friend Kristin on the way to Church and dropped Chase at the nursery so we could really enjoy the service.  It was a beautiful blue sky day so we added a stop for breakfast before going home to hunt for our Easter baskets.  The bunny even brought me a basket this year!  But Chase's was the most fun by far.
