This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Merry-hearted boys make the best men

There is one true thing we can count on each and every day.  As the clock ticks later, the more wild he becomes.  This boy has boundless energy which just grows with every passing hour.  He is hilarious and warm-hearted, and at that perfect age where everything makes you laugh.

Just a Sunday night can turn into comedy hour when he grabs mommy's glasses to compliment a perfect outfit!

Other times Chase can make the most mundane activity like fighting the Costco crowds on a Saturday, into a safari through bright-colored leggings.

Now that the warm weather is here to stay, our budding Picasso has taken to the driveway marking every inch in muted, dusty, chalk (which he calls paper- and we think is too cute to correct).  He taps and scrapes the driveway calling out "mommy!  PA-per" in his proudest voice.

Above all, his favorite outdoor activity is watching the construction trucks next door to the neighborhood.  They beep and dump, clawing the earth and Chase goes wild.  He points and calls out the "digger, roller, bodos (bulldozers)" over and over again with pride.  Once in a while he'll get a wave from a worker coming or going.  He is a merry-hearted boy.

I saw a quote the other day that said, "There's this boy who stole my heart.  He calls me mom." and I just filled with gooey warmth because it is the definition of the life I am leading right now, in this moment.  Everything Chase does and sees and learns just blows his tiny mind. And mine.  There isn't anything I would not do for this dear child.  Which is why I decided to celebrate the boring in life. So I decided that there wasn't a better time or date than a Wednesday night while Daddy was away in class, to have frozen yogurt for dinner.  Chase agreed.
