Last night I thought maybe I could start to teach Chase about colors. He can already identify Yellow, so I thought we might try sorting legos. I grabbed all our bowls and attempted to teach him to sort the legos by color. He seemed very excited and clapped for himself while dropping yellow blocks into the bowl of red ones, and green blocks in with the yellows. His excitement was contagious and I just cheered along at the bowls of rainbow colored blocks.
After he grew bored and I walked away to start dinner, I heard the familiar crash of legos dumping all over the floor and more giggles of excitement. Then silence. I only waited a minute before knowing to check on him... which is when I found him quietly reading his book on a perfect little chair he created for himself. It also reminded me of a typical man routine.... sitting on the pot reading a book! hahaha
