This weekend we ventured down to Richmond for some family fun. We haven't been together since Christmas so Grantudy and Gramps came down too. On the way down, Chase and I looked through the family picture book I made him so he could try to learn the names of his family. We focused mostly on Lucy since he loves other babies. So the word of the weekend became "woo-cee." It was so darn cute.
The two tots were so much fun, there was a lot of parallel play and a bit of interaction too. They loved chasing the dogs and chasing each other. The two were so goofy!
Saturday we had a great little brunch downtown and then hit up Caravati's in search of a cool architectural salvage piece to decorate the kitchen. After scoring a huge ceiling tin for $16 we headed home for naps and play. Saturday night we had a good ole' southern low cooked pork dinner and spent the evening entertained by dancing tots and bath time splashing.
Sunday was cold and we had plans to check out the Richmond Children's museum. It was incredibly fun and provided a lot of stimulation for both kids. It also exhausted Chase enough to sleep the entire way back to Ashburn.
The weekend was too short, but so much fun!
