This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

We went bowling.... er... rollerskating.

All week I have been reminding Kevin that we have Kristin's birthday party at the bowling ally on Sunday.  Never mind that it was a rollerskating party, I just kept saying we were going bowling.  It got pretty funny as I couldn't seem to get it right all week (or weekend).

Friday night Chase tried a big boy bath.  He slipped, and flipped and flopped trying to grab all his toys in the bath.  I had 465 heat attacks and vowed that we would hold off a little while longer until wild thing calmed down a bit (as if that will ever happen!).

Saturday a bit overcast so we stayed in our pajamas all morning snuggling and playing and drinking coffee.  It was perfect.  During Chase's morning nap we began working on yet another house project.  Time to re-caulk and paint all the nasty trim.  Little man napped like a champ for 2+ hours and we got a ton done.  As a reward we decided we deserved a trip out to our favorite winery, Breaux Vineyards.  It was their annual dog days at Breaux and pool neglected Roxie deserved a little fun.  Despite the less than stellar weather we had a great time.  We caught up with the owners and had loads of fun comparing baby stories.  We promised next visit to schedule a play date with both boys.

We played and rolled on the blanket and enjoyed watching our little man take in the sights and sounds of the winery, dogs and people.  He loved looking at everyone and everything and even bounced to the music!  He was memorized by Roxie's leash and grabbed on tight for the ride!

That night we went to a great little Mediterranean/Greek/Lebanese restaurant around the corner.  We are finally brave enough to take Nugget out to dinner and stay out a little past his bedtime.  Watch out, we really live life on the edge!

Sunday we celebrated Kristin's birthday at a bowling ally rollerskating rink.  I might have called it bowling about 6 more times while we had skates on our feet!  I don't know what's wrong with me!  The girls thought it would be fun to also make it an 80's theme to really throw us back in time to the heyday of our youth.  Kevin and I didn't really have time to work the wardrobe, but the everyone else looked fantastic!  It was a lot of fun, never mind that we all couldn't remember it being this hard.  Note the picture of half of us sitting down.  Except for Kevin who, on roller blades, skated circles around us all!
