This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Mucho Milestones

It has been a big week for the little nugget!  I need to take a minute and recap all his milestones this past week.  Little dude had finally kicked it into gear and is starting to crawl regularly.  "Crawl" is a generous word.  Chase has mastered the 1-2-flop.  He gets up on all fours, takes two steps forward with his hands, pops his knees forward,  belly-flops then does it all again.  Remember "the worm" from 1996 Junior Prom.... Master's in the House!  WOOT WOOT!  Nugget does the worm like a pro.  But hey, it is forward momentum, right?

Oh, and a superhero cape is always helpful, right?

Little man has also mastered his pincer grasp. He picked it up and perfected it quite well, except when he eats Cheerios... then it is viking night and it shoves handfuls of Cheerios into his mouth.  Dude can't get enough Cheerios!  He goes WILD when he seems them.... jumping up and down in his seat and waving his arms like a crazy man.  He ate so many Cheerios yesterday that I found myself wanting to google, "How many Cheerios can a 9-month old have before it is too many?"

To burn off his Cheerio addiction, Chase has started cruising.  And by "started cruising" he has taken two steps along the coffee table in an effort to get more Cheerios.  Hey, whatever works, right?

He is also lovin' bananas, sweet potatoes with rice or lentils, fresh pears and peaches and of course, squash. He also has his transfer technique down and can easily hand off toys between hands.  He has discovered banging toys together too.  but, by far his favorite game is "daddy fetch" where he tosses his toy off the table and watches daddy pick it up.  he giggles the whole time and then wings it off the table with wild abandon to watch daddy fetch all over again.  Other variations of the game are "Grandpa fetch" and "mommy fetch".

Little dude is happy all the time these days.  He talks himself to sleep every night and then wakes us up in the morning to sounds of talking.  It is the BEST kind of alarm clock.  We are down to one night feeding and will be trying to eliminate it this week (fingers crossed).

Life is good :)
