This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Grandparents are on duty!

We were so excited for Grantudy and Gramps to visit this weekend.  Aaron, Anna, and Lucy had to cancel at the last minute, but we still enjoyed a full weekend of lovin' and snugglin', and over-night feeding breaks for mommy!!! Happy dance!

Friday night we waited and waited for G&G to get here so they could experience food face painting feeding Chase.  Someone was getting a little fussy waiting to be fed, but Kevin patiently waited to eat the awesome Bar-B-Q I had been cooking in the crock pot all day.

As soon as G&G walked in the door, the assumed the proud grandparent position opposite nugget in his highchair.

And just as quickly they learned who's boss of the spoon

After a couple lost rounds of Chase v. Oatmeal, it was major bath time

And bedtime with Gramps.

Saturday morning G&G reported for official Chase snugglin' duty.  And by official, I mean they both donned matching embroidered red "Grantudy" and "gramps" sweatshirts!  Hilarious!

They lovingly played with fought over Chase all morning.

I love getting sloppy baby kisses.

After an awesome afternoon nap by Chase... and Gramps, we ventured out for a muddy but warm walk at Claude Moore Park.  We strolled over to the Rec Center and signed our little nugget up for his first "swim" lessons.  Kev and I can't wait to don the swim diaper and soak up the pool fun!

Next we were off to Wegmans to get steaks for dinner in celebration of Gramps judge nomination and also his 61st birthday!  On the way there I asked Kevin if he wanted to wear Chase in the Baby Bjorn or if I should.  Gramps piped up from the back seat and demanded he would "BJORN" Chase.  Obviously he hadn't a clue what he was getting into, but if it involved his grandson, he was all in!

So Gramps strapped on the Baby Bjorn, Chase and the biggest, most proud smile as he toted Chase through every isle of Wegmans.  Oh the pride.

The fun didn't stop there, we had some delicious stakes, champagne and birthday cake.  And someone got some more carrots, not his favorite I might add.

So back to the bath with a stained Orange face!

And then it was Gramp's turn to put little nugget to bed.  But not before reading some Peter Pan out of the same collections of stories from the Disney book I remember so fondly as a kid.  And yes, Gramps gave each character his own voice.  We didn't quite get to Never-never land before Chase demanded his bottle and bedtime.

Sunday morning Gramps was thrilled to give Chase his first taste of peas.  Being the only one in the family who liked peas I made sure to have a little jar on hand.  As Kevin, Grantudy and I turned our noses up, Chase smiled and gulped down more peas than he had eater of any other food.

After a quick cat nap ....

... and a HUGE smelly pea-poop (another reason we don't like peas around here), We all took a long walk around the neighborhood in the first warm weather of the year.  We fitted Chase into the "big boy" harness in the stroller and he rode for alomst 2 hours wide-eyed taking all the scenery in!

It was such a fun weekend with G&G, we'll miss them and can't wait to see them again soon!
