Friday was a high of 77 in FEBRUARY, Daddy was on his way home, and our good friend Sarah G. was coming for the weekend.... can you say awesome weekend??!!!
Chase was especially excited for Daddy to do all his night-time feedings! Of course I miss getting up every 2 hours, but I survived somehow. (did you sense the sarcasm?)
Daddy on the other hand was quite tired after his first all-night feeding shift, so we let him sleep in. Yeah, right. Since Chase had no sympathy for him after mommy's 5 night feeding marathon, he said we should wake him up. And what a wake up call it was.
I snapped this picture. And then I melted. Pure love.
We are on day 56 of the master bathroom renovation (which usually would take 2 weekends prior to nugget's arrival)... but whose counting? We were one coat away from fishing the painting phase so we hit Lowes for more paint before picking up Sarah.
I am so psyched Chase shares my enthusiasm for shopping and DIY home projects.
Then we spent the rest of the weekend soaking up some Aunt Sarah time. Thank you Egypt for your revolution and sending our Sarah home for an impromptu "vacation" while they figure out that mess.
We spent the weekend drinking wine, snuggling the baby, reminiscing about 29 years of friendship and sharing dreams for the next 29.
Oh and Aunt Sarah was a bad influence as usual. HAHA!
Sunday afternoon we waved goodbye to Aunt Sarah and spent the rest of the day doing the boring stuff in life, until Chase spit up and then shoved his face in it before the burp cloth could intervene. And we were reminded life wasn't so boring....
