I am going to be that sappy mom and say, "I can't believe it has been 5 months. Time flies by." My little nugget is getting so big. Chase is soaking up the world. He is grabbing new toys (and hair!), making new sounds and faces and just discovered his feet last night! What fun. Daddy and I have been enjoying the life's new discoveries just as much as little nugget!
I am stepping back to soak it all up. Chase is growing so fast and I know how much I will miss these days. The laundry and dishes piled up last night as we both spent some extra minutes making Chase laugh, listening to him "talk" and splashing with him in the bath. He fills my heart and charges my batteries. It is good to be a mom.
Chase only got up twice last night (a nice break from the 4-a-night feedings). During my turn I took time at 2:30 AM to memorize he face, the way his tiny lips move and how he rhythmically pats his head. I whispered to him how much I love him and how I somehow know he is destine for big things. He is a special little guy. I also told him not to grow up so fast and to allow mommy to kiss him for a long long time.
