Happy New year!! We spent the weekend with Aaron, Anna, Lucy and Zeus and Mom and Dad. Before the weekend officially kicked off, we made a run to Costco for cheap baby clothes. I snapped this pic to document how the times have changed...
We actually got off our butts and ventured downtown. It was Chase’s (and Lucy’s) first trip into DC and luckily the weather was great. Our first stop was a trip to Spike Mendelson’s restaurant Good Stuff Eatery.

The line was long (but thankfully fast since the babes were sleeping, and Chase has a way of clearing a room with his cry). The burgers were to-die-for. Perfect bun, cheese and meat ratio. The fries were tiny and crispy, just the way I liked them.
Next stop, The American History museum, but not before a good meltdown from Chase man and a feeding frenzy in the secure parking garage under the Ronald Reagan Trade Center. The three of us met up with the rest of the crowd after Chase’s snack and took on the entire museum. It was neat to see the Star Spangled Banner again and see some classic Americana. Did I mention part of the reason we went was because we have some pretty famous family members? That's right, Chase Matthew Homan, youngest American President.
We headed home to make a hearty spaghetti dinner and ring in the new year. Fast forward to Saturday morning…we all went to bed well before the ball dropped, though Chase got me up at 12:15 to ring in the new year with a snuggly feeding. We meant to let balloons tied with wishes go on midnight, but we improvised for a 10:30AM lift off. My wish was for 2 healthy babies first years!
