It has been a long time since we've made it to a Penn State game. We have missed it so much, it is just hard to get up to State College now with a toddler in tow-- not to mention the cost. So when Penn State came to play in our backyard, we couldn't miss the chance.
Luckily, Aaron, Anna, and Lucy were up for watching Chase while we ran over to Charlottesville to watch the Nittany Lions take on the Wahoos!
I gotta admit, though we love our boy, it is so nice to jump in the car and do our own thing without planning snacks, movies, naps times, etc. We joined a great group of friends at a classic Penn State tailgate and were thrilled to fall right back into the love of all things Penn State Football!
So the game wasn't as thrilling as we'd hope. Somehow those Wahoo's beat us, despite a nail biting ending including a terrible thunderstorm edging over the stadium in the final minutes. Luckily the funnel cake in the stadium took the sting out of the loss for this pregnant girl! haha
As the final whistle blew, we made a run for it, zooming out of town just as the skies opened up a terrible storm.
On the way home, we got a text from my brother..."I hope you like sticky" with a picture of Chase covered in ice cream
The weekend was great and the cousins loved goofing around together. We rounded out our visit with a doughnut date before heading home. Love our weekends in Richmond!
