At Chase's 2-year appointment the doctor heard a heart murmur which typically shows up around this age if a child has one. She didn't think there was anything abnormal about the murmur calling it an "innocent mumur" but since we are blessed enough to have great healthcare and excellent resources, she suggested we check it out, so we have a baseline and don't get into trouble down the road with sports release forms since this will be on his medical chart.
So Chase and I made a quick visit to the pediatric cardiologist. I was nervous, not because of the appointment--- I really didn't think anything was wrong. I was nervous because Kevin couldn't make it at the last minute-- which meant I had 2 less arms to strap a crazy two-year old down with!
Boy was I surprised! The staff was wonderful and Chase had a blast with the tests. They made it sound fun and promised Chase he got to remove the electrode "stickers" when they were done. That plus some thomas the train movies and he was a perfect boy. And we got a perfect bill of health. Just an "innocent" murmur... no need to follow up.
