This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Our wild, growing boy

We have been lucky to have some unseasonably warm weather for January, so we have been out and about with Chase.

He doesn't go far without his best buddy Roxie.  He is a very "helpful" boy and always wants to hold the leash.  Knowing Roxie's pull will knock the little guy off his feet, we end up playing middle man holding the leash in the middle to offset the pull.  This makes for a VERY slow walk around the block, trying both Roxie and our patience, but it is all worth it to see our very proud boy walking his "daww-gee".  Here he is all dressed up, though we couldn't get Roxie to sit still for the picture, you can see Chase trying hard to hold the leash.  Also, isn't he adorable in his pea coat with sailor cap!

These days, when Chase isn't walking Roxie, he is riding in style on his "mo-mo".  Little dude is obsessed with all wheeled vehicles, but he loves motorcycles.  We love him too much to burst his bubble that his trike isn't actually a "mo-mo".... we just love his excitement too much!

Oh, and getting him to tolerate the helmet? Not a problem,  this boy loves to put anything on his head and can often be found still wearing the helmet long after dismounting his "mo-mo."

We can't believe how big he is getting and how much he is talking.  We have lost count of all the words he knows, but at this point he is able to point to and name most of his body parts, count to three (in a combination of English and Spanish), ask for "more", make all the sounds to the animals we name, and call our about 10 different types of "things that move."  Almost as skilled as his vocabulary, is his ability to climb just about anything in our house.  It takes just seconds for him to climb into our chairs, onto the couch, or onto the table.

Just this week, I looked away for one second and he had scaled the bar stools, helped himself to a banana, and chomped right though the peel to get to the good stuff!  WHAT?!
