This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

A baby, a winery, and a bar(s). That's ok, right?

We have been looking forward to this week all summer!  After 10-days without Daddy, we were so excited to kick back and spend some quality time with each other!  But first, we had a few parties to attend.

Our good friend Laura celebrated her 30th birthday at a local winery; a perfect play date adults and babies alike.

The day was perfectly warm with a nice breeze. We passed the babies from lap to lap and filled each other's glasses with dark purple cab sauv and bright pink rosé.

Our ridiculously talented friend Amy, made uniquely tailored cookies for the birthday girl honoring all her favorite vices (McD's french fries!).

The day was perfect and we wanted to stay longer, but we had more fun in store.  Namely, a bar tour.  With a baby.  Another group of friends (who are in denial of our age and growing distance between our college days) celebrate an annual bar tour in Leesburg ever year.  This year we were determined to make it and despite our extra luggage, donned our matching T-shirts and joined in the fun.

Chase played along for the 1st two bars, but by 6:00 he was ready for some fun in the sun and we raced home to pack for the beach.  Daddy decided we were going to leave for the beach Saturday night.  NO. PROBLEM. HONEY.  With a quickly melting down baby, I packed us in 15 minutes for a 7 day vacation.  And people say I haven't let go of my OCD control-freak nature!  If only Super Market Sweep was still on TV..... it would have made for a great training run.

We were on the road in no time.  Chase was enjoying a bottle, Daddy was in driving mode, and I was making a mental list of everything we forgot..... we got the dog, right?
