This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

11 months old

Happy 11-month Birthday Chase-man!  I am a little lost for words thinking about in just 30 days you will be 1 year old!  They all said the time would fly, but I didn't believe it!  We have mixed emotions as we approach that milestone.  Of course we are so thankful for a happy and healthy 11-month old and excited to see you continue to explore, grow and develop!  But, I know we will shed some tears thinking about the year we have had and all the "firsts" we have watched you meet.

This month you have really started to develop your vocabulary.  You know I am mommy, and Kevin is Daddy.  You clearly asked for your "baba" (Bottle) and your face still lights up when you see those cherrios coming your way!  You have become an expert at cruising and can zoom around the coffee table destroying everything in your path!  The word of the month is "defense" and we have taught ourselves and anyone who comes in your path to defend their, glasses, food, necklaces, magazines... etc.

You are obsessed with kitchen utensils.  Actually, come to think of it, I haven't seen you play for more than 2 minutes with any of your baby toys. But, you will go NO WHERE without a kitchen spoon, wisk, or spatula.  Silly boy.  Maybe an Iron Chef one day?

Also, right now you are working on your two top teeth and it is giving you a rough time.  Sleep has been hard and even eating isn't so great.  Despite your swollen gums and obvious pain, your adorable personality is still shining though.

Roxie has become a good friend.  She is always great for a laugh and in return you share your meals with her (despite mommy and daddy's insistence that she only needs her food).  you have also perfected your waving and even throw in a "baaye baaye."  The funny part is your wave sometimes resembles a Miss America soft wave!  It is hilarious!

Right now you are loving peek-a-boo, cheerios, yogurt, kitchen utensils, wagon rides, pushing anything with buttons, blowing raspberries, using words, yelling, running fevers, and drooling.

Our hearts are full thanks to you Chase!
