I find myself playing catch-up a lot on the blog. Sometimes there is a lot to report, and sometimes it is just nice to recap on just the daily life with this awesome little family.
It seems like we mostly trade off with the kids to get things done around the house. But once in a while we venture out with them both.
They were not all that helpful grocery shopping. Chase mostly wanted cookies and Whitney dropped her shoes in every isle. They are total monkeys. But it was fun to have them both sitting in the cart for the fist time.
We stopped by the new house just to take a look. We have been talking to Chase a lot about moving. We aren't sure what to expect from him in this transition. Considering the playground is directly across the street from the new house, think the transition will be smoother than we expect.
Every night we leave the monitor turned down and locked on Whitney's room. It is just loud enough for us to hear her if she cries out. Luckily she has been starting to sleep through the night again (finally at 7 months). This morning I heard Chase's voice on the monitor, so I thought it was switched to his room.... until I also heard Whitney. Still half asleep, I was quite confused. I called to Kevin when I found this site in Whitney's room. Chase told us he heard Whitney and he was checking on her. Sweet of him, though a little scary to imagine the 3 year old pouncing on the sleeping 7 month old!!
Whitney is just loving life. She is finally crawling and loving all there is to explore and play with! We took the kids to a pizza place we heard lets kids create their own pizza. Chase had a great time smearing the sauce and sprinkling the cheese. He has talked about it constantly since we went the other day.
Roxie and Whitney have found true friendship. Chase was never too excited about Roxie, but Whitney loves her and Roxie knows it. Wherever Whitney is, you will find Roxie saddled up next to her.
