This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Pumpkins, hay, and a whole lot of fun!

This was my kind of weekend, we did fall big time.  We started our weekend with friends at a new pumpkin patch.  The place was huge and we met up with the Smiths to ride the big slides, play like crazy in the straw barn and eating apple cider doughnuts!

The big event was picking pumpkins.  Chase and his buddy Kameron loved riding the hayride and watching the tractors pull the trailers!  Once we got to the patch, Chase and Kameron hunted for the best pumpkin.

We think we found the best pumpkins in the patch!

We visited the farmers market and stocked up on our favorite Nittany Apples, apple cider, and delicious apple pie!  It was a great day with good friends.

Chase slept well after all his playing.  That afternoon we met up with more friends, Catherine and her girls Harper and Rowen for a local Ocktober fest celebration.  Chase was so good and happily sat in his stroller talking about all the pumpkins, dogs, cars and food!  We ate great food and drank some hoppy beers.  The unexpected highlight was the crazy kids dancing to the band.  Harper danced like a fraggle and Chase stuck to one move rocking back and forth on his feet getting wider and wider into a split.  We caught it all on video, hilarious!

As if the fall fun couldn't get any better, we had more friends over on Sunday for some pumpkin painting.  I made a HUGE coffee cake to share with the Zienteks and we all donned our brave faces while we embarked on painting with 2 year olds.  Chase and Alex loved it.  They worked so hard spreading the colors into big globs across their pumpkins.  Chase hasn't stopped talking about pumpkin painting since.

We played and talked for hours before we realized the boys hadn't eaten lunch and it was past nap time.  It is fun to break the rules sometimes.  It is so worth the memories.

Oh, and there will be more painting according to Chase!
