We spent the weekend at Kent Haven squeezing in one last day in the sand and dip in the river. It was a perfect weekend of sleeping in, playing with the babies, enjoying good company and catching up with my very best friend and her family. Sarah has been a part of my life since kindergarten. Her sister Sam has been a sister to me and their mother Tracy, a second mom.
We spent the all day Saturday reminiscing about our childhood, which was a little depressing to think was over 20 years ago! We laughed about our over-confidence in sailing and skiing during camp and school outings... which got us into trouble more than once. We told escapades of hairspray and curling irons, umbro shorts and water fights. We laughed so hard remembering who we wanted to be when we grew up and smiled at who we are today. It was one of those weekends that warm your soul.

We introduced the Gkonos' to the art of floating in the river. All you need is a beer, a water papasan, and a couple of babies in whale floats. It was awesome. The babies enjoyed the slightly cooler water and the Gkonos' sore they would be back to enjoy and perfect the art of floating.
To top off an awesome day in the river, we had to get some ice cream with the littles...
Saturday night we ate a delicious dinner of love and laughter and celebrated with birthday cake!
It was one more Happy Birthday cheer to our Peanut Burger and also an excited anticipation of Happy Birthday to Miss Lucy Pie!
