This is our story. It might not be exciting to some, but we think it is THRILLING... most of the time. Life is flying by too fast and this is our attempt to stop and capture the good nuggets in our lives. You may notice a trend in these posts... it may have to do with our favorite little nuggets currently sitting center stage in everything we do, think, and live.

Hope you enjoy and leave a comment or two!

Christmas Day 2013

I couldn't sleep.  If this is any indication of the Christmases to come, it is going to magical for the whole family.  We wanted to make sure we were up and moving (with video camera in hand) as soon as the kids eyes pried open.  With the open railing above the family room, we wanted to get their reaction coming down the stairs rather than scooping out the gifts from above.

Chase scooted down the stairs at light speed and we popped Whitney on our hip and chased after him.

"Whaaat?  I can't believe it.  Look at all dees toys.  Santa CAME!"

"...and he ate our cookies! ... and drank our milk!  That's crazy!"

Over and over again.  His mind was totally blown.

Even Roxie loved her goodies and made short work of tearing it up!

After we tore through the presents, I reminded Chase to go check on our reindeer food.  Again, you could see the magic working as his eyes lit up when he saw all the reindeer food was gone.  The reindeer had came and had his snack.  He was so tickled.

Christmas day was spent cuddled in playing with toys and enjoying our Amazing new house with our incredibly blessed family.  Life is good and we know it.

Oh, and my Christmas present?  Kevin agreed to a send in a painting crew 2 days before Christmas to paint the entire first floor and upper hallway.  So there were little painting elves in our house for 8 hours on Christmas eve.  It is perfect!  I am loving it.

Christmas presents 2013:
both kids got kids' chairs and a cozy coup to share
Chase: batwing plane, ninja turtle action figure and sweatshirt, train table
Whitney: new bottle bag, dino ball popper, shape sorter
